New Year's Eve

I was just reading Sarah's latest posts at Just Me and loved her post about what she would wear on New Year's Eve. So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon and having a play with Polyvore. This is what I would wear if I was going out to partay! Sadly, I'm not. I'll be at home baking my little girl cubs first birthday cake.

Bye Christmas! See You Next Year!

The big day has been and gone. I expected the cubs to wake up super early, but in fact, I was awake before them. Excited much?

We soon discovered that Santa indeed visited during the night and left us some goodies. He even took the time to write the cubs a little note on their blackboard whilst downing his milk and biscuits we left out for him.

We had fun opening presents minutes after waking up, hence the sleepy looks...

I was very lucky as The Bear gave me two gorgeous new beads for my Pandora bracelet. The two on the right, one with gold leaves and the other with the bluish/green flower. I was extra lucky and received a third charm, the sleigh, from a lovely online friend whom I've never met. Sorry the photo is so small! This is where I wish I had a macro lens!

After we got through our presents, it was time to head to my parents for breakfast. We do an annual family photo on Christmas Day. The family has grown over the years. I'm the one with the reindeer antlers :)

After breakfast and photos, we all sat down to open more presents from the grandparents, aunties and uncles. It was utter chaos! But lots of fun!

It was then off to The Bear's family (aka in-laws) for lunch. More present unwrapping occured here too. Although, not as many kids, less chaos!

After a long day, the cubs were spoiled rotten. The evidence was on my kitchen table! Some of the things up the back left were for me though :)

I hope everyone in Blogger land had a safe and happy Christmas! Here's to a great year in 2011!

U2

Last night, The Bear and I had a kiddie-free night out. We went to the U2 concert at Subiaco Oval (oops sorry, it's now called Pattisons Stadium). It was one of the best concerts I've been to (not that I've been to many, that's probably for another post). The stage setup was just amazing. They had a 360 set up, hence the tour being called their 360 Tour! We had seats up in the stands and had an excellent view of everything, even though the band did look pencil sized.

Jay-Z was the support act and while I don't mind a bit of Jay-Z tunes, his live performance was rather average. I couldn't imagine him doing his own show in a venue that size purely because the majority of his songs are performed with another big artist, in which case half of his performance was recorded!

The general admission was awesome! I think the atmosphere down in the mosh pit would have been mind-blowing! To see so many people squished in together, all bouncing to the same groove, it just looked phenomenal. One day, I would love to experience a big concert at a huge venue like Wembley Stadium.

It was a fantastic night out and a great show. U2 are definitely a band to see.
